A Natural Place....

The Land is passionate about providing a space for autistic children and young adults having the opportunity to be in nature. We were founded by the Beckett family whose lived experience of raising three autistic children showed them how important and rare low arousal environments are. Their vision was to create a natural environment in which their children could escape the confinements of home and on occasions make the small steps back out into the world after years of isolation. Now more families are benefiting from what they have learned and developed.

The Land is 12.5 acres and is being developed into a tranquil nature reserve. Hedge rows have been reinstated, wildflower meadows, trees have been planted and we are keen to create wheelchair friendly paths. We also plan creating quiet seating areas throughout the site, landscape the pond. The space will grow in wildlife creating more pathways and green corridors.

Supporting Families'
Within this beautiful natural environment, we support families of autistic children/young adults with high anxiety who struggle to leave their homes. We do this by connecting families together in small groups to address the severe isolation that they can face, as well as providing opportunities for the children to reignite their passions and build confidence. We run monthly parent craft groups, family fun sessions, games evenings, wellbeing sessions for parents, Dad meet ups, parent and child craft sessions and wellbeing in nature time for children with their parents.
